Assignment 5. Let's go to the cinema!

Well, yerterday I went to the cinema with my boyfriend Jorge. I saw "Body Lies" an action, drama and thriller film. Leonardo DiCaprio played Roger Ferris, Russell Crowe played Ed Hoffman and Mark Strong played Hani, beetwen others actors. All of them started in the film was created in 2008 by Ridley Scott in USA. The Runtime was 128 min.

The story going in is that Roger Ferris, a CIA field agent in an important position in the middle east division, just below the leader of the division Ed Hoffman a snarky, racist, and mostly unlikeable man who leads the missions remotely through his laptop and cellphone. Ferris uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader potentially operating out of Jordan Al-Saleem, and chooses to act on it, involving Jordanian intelligence leader Hani Salam. He devises a plan to infiltrate Al-Saleem's terrorist network with the help of his boss back in Langley, Ed Hoffman. But he doesn't know how far he can trust him without putting his life in danger. The uneasy alliance leads to a cultural and moral clash between the men.

The movie isn't perfect, and there's a key scene at the end which feels very didactic and heavy-handed. Although judging by the twentysomethings who left the theater talking about how cool one of the torture scenes was, even a message delivered this bluntly just isn't getting into their thick skulls, but it somehow gets away with being an enjoyable genre piece and a genuinely thought-provoking film, with actual understanding of mid-eastern politics and culture, wonderfully involving characters, and even a surprising sense of humor. "Body of Lies" is most definitely a cut above most in its sub-genre, and one of the biggest surprises of the year, I think.

I recomend it all time. I give it 10 stars!!! You must see in the most nearby cinema.

I hope you like it...bye bye
