Last assignment. The last but not the least!

The Blogs: advantages v/s disadvantages

This essay is about the adventages and disadvantages of using blogs. For that is very important define what is a blog. A blog is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.

This instrument have so many adventages and disventages, bescause all the electronic things have one. For example, in the United Stated the emergence of blogging has brought a range of legal liabilities and other often unforeseen consequences.
Several cases have been brought before the national courts against bloggers concerning issues of defamation or liability. The courts have returned with mixed verdicts.
Also there are consequences in politically sensitive areas. Blogs are much harder to control than broadcast or even print media. As a result, totalitarian and authoritarian regimes often seek to suppress blogs and/or to punish those who maintain them.
One consequence of blogging is the possibility of attacks or threats against the blogger, sometimes without apparent reason. Some people, authors of innocuous blogs was the target of such vicious threats and misogynistic insults and they must cancel the keynote speech, fearing for they safety.

But not all is bad. The blog have good things too. Like a "writing therapy". Scientists have long known the therapeutic benefits of writing about personal experiences. Blogs provide another convenient avenue for writing about personal experiences. Research shows that it improves memory and sleep, boosts immune cell activity and reduces viral load in AIDS patients and even speeds healing after surgery. Other benefits there’s an easy way to post updates for any topics you like. Once the site is up and running it’s easy to add updates. It runs like a blog which means you just write the article, hit publish and your new, up to the minute information is there for all to see. Easy, simple, no extra cost and entirely within your own control. The last benefits that I saw is that some readers and visitors just want to get information and go again. But others will want to comment, to sign up for updates, to be prompted to come back when there’s some new information or a new product on offer. Stand alone blogs work for some purposes - but don’t or can’t meet every business need. A website without a blog will limit what you can do: it becomes out of date very quickly, and chances are you will find it tricky to keep it fresh, topical, interesting and relevant. Combining the two together and you have got an extremely heady mix… and the best of both worlds.

I came to the conclusion that the blogs have more advantages that disadvantages, because they have managed to occupy a great space in the life of the human being. They passed to be a web site where the author can express from his or her feelings, changed, share up to certainly with other users experiences lived of his or her personal life, of his or her intimacy. " It is a web page marked by the personality of the author, who prints his or her stamp with the writing... "

Assignment 5. Let's go to the cinema!

Well, yerterday I went to the cinema with my boyfriend Jorge. I saw "Body Lies" an action, drama and thriller film. Leonardo DiCaprio played Roger Ferris, Russell Crowe played Ed Hoffman and Mark Strong played Hani, beetwen others actors. All of them started in the film was created in 2008 by Ridley Scott in USA. The Runtime was 128 min.

The story going in is that Roger Ferris, a CIA field agent in an important position in the middle east division, just below the leader of the division Ed Hoffman a snarky, racist, and mostly unlikeable man who leads the missions remotely through his laptop and cellphone. Ferris uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader potentially operating out of Jordan Al-Saleem, and chooses to act on it, involving Jordanian intelligence leader Hani Salam. He devises a plan to infiltrate Al-Saleem's terrorist network with the help of his boss back in Langley, Ed Hoffman. But he doesn't know how far he can trust him without putting his life in danger. The uneasy alliance leads to a cultural and moral clash between the men.

The movie isn't perfect, and there's a key scene at the end which feels very didactic and heavy-handed. Although judging by the twentysomethings who left the theater talking about how cool one of the torture scenes was, even a message delivered this bluntly just isn't getting into their thick skulls, but it somehow gets away with being an enjoyable genre piece and a genuinely thought-provoking film, with actual understanding of mid-eastern politics and culture, wonderfully involving characters, and even a surprising sense of humor. "Body of Lies" is most definitely a cut above most in its sub-genre, and one of the biggest surprises of the year, I think.

I recomend it all time. I give it 10 stars!!! You must see in the most nearby cinema.

I hope you like it...bye bye

Assignment 4. Everybody let's blog!

This week I must to write an evaluation or criticism of one of my classmates' blog spot.
The classmates' blogspot I choose was Lisstte.
It's a very nice blogspot, with a 3 types of green fonds. The title of the blog is "Chica de Ipanema" and my classmate has included her photo with his childre. He is very quite, his name is Pablo and his age is 1 year old.

I like her blog spot because he posted about a fantastic theatre musical movie: mama mia. The movie it´s a musical with the songs of the Swedish group ABBA. I love this group!!! I saw the movie too, and I think that was a very funny film, it had a very good soundtrack and the characters were very expressive and particular. They danced and sang in the film, and make some choreographs.

In other post, she commented about her favourite art work: The Kiss by Rodin. I agree very much with her.She sayed that art work recreates the pasional love between a women and her brother in law. The woman was supposed to get marry, when her brother in law arrived. While they were reading a book together they fell in love, they were going to kiss, when the boyfriend of the lady discorvered them and killed her. That is why in the sculpture the lovers are not touching their lips, it´s supposed that in that moment the future husband arrives and kill her. A very sad history, but very romantic too.

I like the content of the posts in this blog, but I don’t like the layout of the blog. I think the size of letter is very small and it should to have more images, photos or anything funny or interactive. The blog spot haven’t links to other blogs or interesting web sites. That is all for today...
See you later!
Bye!

3rd Assignment

Hi, this week I must to post a work of art that I like. Well I think that the tattoo is a form of popular art. Anyhow is tattooed seeks to express something, which should be, for it or for others. The skin is a support as any other one and serves to express. The artist who I choose is my tattoo-man Sergio Villagran that does a little time has travelled to Barcelona, España to living and perfecting his technique.
First time that I saw the work of art for him was in 2006, when I decided to have a tattoo. He is very delicate and worried of doing a pretty work, because his work of art was staying the rest of the life in the person who decides to have this type of work of art.
I like this form of art because I see it as a way of expressing what one thinks about colours, forms and different styles. It is tremendously beautiful for my to see a tattooed back, because depending on the tattoo that it sees, I can know a few more to the person who it takes it, know that he or she likes or that they thinks.

Assignment 2. Let's get down to it

Well, this is the summary of the article: Superpowers for parents: becoming your child's emotional coach. Sally Williams wrote it the Saturday 4 October of 2008.
This article comments about a writer, Stephen Briers that wrote the book Superpowers for Parents: The Psychology of Great Parenting and Happy Children. This book is a handy guide to therapy techniques. He says that the parents need to become emotional coaches for their children to produce a new generation of happy adults. For that is most important that they forget the strict routines of childcare.
The idea is the parents become in child psychologists too, because they can help their children and save their for a diagnosable mental health disorder. Rather, psychology is the key to good parenting. If parents understand their children this children understand themselves, they will grow up to be happy. One of the points of being a parent is to try and equip the children for life and give them the skills they need.
Briers' says that is “emotional intelligence": "Children who are emotionally literate, who demonstrate a high capacity for empathy and have social problem-solving skills, tend to be protected from all manner of mental health problems". But this emotional intelligent is not the only key to have a happy future, because the intellectual attainment is very important too. The parents must also expand their child's emotional vocabulary. "Read to your child and discuss how characters might be feeling," says Briers. "Do you think he's feeling scared/cross/happy/upset?"
The purpose of getting your child to be more in touch with their emotions (and those of others) is to help them manage them. Briers takes the view that there is a connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
The book Superpowers for Parents: The Psychology of Great Parenting and Happy Children by Stephen Briers is published by Prentice Hall Life and it cost £9.99

LAST BLOG ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY WRITTING

Well, I want to write about the article “Relation and difference between clinical and forensic report” author Carlos Rodríguez Sutil, located in Revista “Papeles del Psicólogo” (1999) of http://www.papelesdelpsicologo.es/vernumero.asp?id=823.
The purpose of this report is shows the difference between both reports (clinical and forensic). It would be the identification of who is the client of the professional and the break of the rule of confidentiality, that in the case of the forensic area is inevitable, but it is moderated for the relevancy of the contents that are transmitted. There would not be communicable all the knowledge that we have extracted during the interviews, but those atingentes to the case that is carried out in courts.

The aims that they chase these two lines of the psychology, and the language that they use they are not the same, therefore exist variations in the integration and interpretation of the instruments of psychological analysis, though both use the same tools. But the author says that is necessary design instruments of forensic evaluation because those who already exist are not done for the specific utilization of the legal context. In addition it is necessary to check in the juridical context, to observe it application.
I invite you to read this article, because is very interesting. It leaves us clear als differences between these types of reports. This is fundamental when we want to study a career as mine, Psychology. It is necessary to know like they are really the things, to find it similarities and differences, to be able to choose for the correct line.
